♈ Manglik Dosh Nivaran Pooja
Also called Mangal Dosh Puja · Mangal Graha Shanti · मांगलिक दोष निवारण
Manglik Dosh Nivaran is the worship of Mangal — the planet Mars — performed by families whose reading of a birth chart shows Mangal dosha, usually in the months before a marriage. It consists of Mangal graha shanti: the recitation of the Mangal mantra a prescribed number of times, followed by a havan.

First, be sure of what the chart shows
Mangal dosha is the placement of Mars in certain houses of the chart, and whether a person is 'Manglik' depends on which houses are counted and from where — the lagna, the Moon or Venus. The tradition also records a number of conditions under which the dosha is held to be cancelled, and they apply more often than people expect.
It is worth looking at the chart before arranging a ritual. AaradhyaHub's free Kundli shows the placement from all three reference points, and the pages on Manglik dosha explain the rules and the exceptions in plain language. Many families find, on reading them, that the matter is less serious than they were told.
What happens during the pooja
The pandit begins with Ganesh puja, sankalp in the name of the person the pooja is for, and kalash sthapana. Navagraha puja follows, and then the worship of Mangal with red flowers, red cloth, red sandalwood and masoor dal — the offerings traditionally associated with the planet.
The Mangal mantra is then recited the number of times the pandit prescribes for the chart, and a havan is performed with offerings for Mangal. The ceremony ends with purnahuti, aarti and prasad. Tuesday, the day of Mangal, is the day customarily chosen.
What to expect from it
This is a religious observance. Families perform it for peace of mind and as an act of worship before a marriage, in keeping with their tradition. No ritual can guarantee how a marriage will go, and AaradhyaHub does not claim that this one does.
Some families also follow other customs for Mangal dosha, such as Kumbh Vivah. Those are separate rites and are not part of this booking; if your family's tradition calls for one, mention it when you book and the team will tell you plainly whether it can be arranged.
Manglik Dosh Nivaran Pooja — common questions
How do I know whether I am Manglik?
Generate a free Kundli with your exact birth details. It reports where Mars falls from the lagna, the Moon and Venus, which is how North Indian practice checks for Mangal dosha.
Is the pooja needed if both partners are Manglik?
The most widely cited rule in the tradition holds that the dosha cancels where both charts carry it, and many families do not arrange a pooja in that case. Some still choose to. It is a matter of the family's own practice.
Does the person have to be present?
Yes, ideally — the sankalp is taken in their name. Where that is not possible, a close family member can take the sankalp on their behalf; tell the pandit in advance.
How long does the pooja take?
About three hours, including the jaap and the havan.
Can Manglik Dosh Nivaran be performed online?
Yes. The pandit performs the jaap and havan and you join by live video to take the sankalp and follow the ritual. The booking form shows the online price beside the home-visit price.
